Umm, tonight (Saturday May 17th, 2008) at our store, we are doing our first Mini-Exhibition, this one with the design group Rich, Brilliant, Willing. This should have been posted a couple of days ago, so I guess unless you are in the boroughs we wont be seeing you tonight. The group are showing their first collection of furniture and also a KIOSK-specific product. Come by! We love to see you! This Mini-Exhibition stays open until Tuesday the 20th.

Hi there
We are going to Massachusetts on May 19th for one week of exploring. If anyone has any tips we would really appreciate it. I am researching: craftspeople, inns, food producers, candle makers, local factories, diners, etc. Basically anything made by independent producers in the state and good and CHEAP places to sleep and eat. If you have any suggestions we would appreciate hearing from you! Many thanks! Alisa

Where did our great country begin Pennsylvania or Massachusetts? We are starting work on an American collection and are trying to decide our kick-off state. Opinions would be appreciated!

hi, not travel related but why not, do you know of anyone who is looking for a small workspace in New York City? Please pass along!
STUDIO SUBLET:
Do you know of anyone looking for a studio? Available May 1…..until ? flexible
150 sq feet It is a small space in what was an all artists building on Union Square at the corner of 17th and Broadway, now artists, photographers and designers mainly. Own entrance, not a shared space. Nice feeling. There can be one desk the rest of the space is empty except we store some boxes on the top shelf, we will pay $40 towards the rent to leave them there, the rest of the bookcase and space is empty. There is a little work sink. No phone and no internet but it is possible to arrange internet. A few shelves and nothing more, basic and simple. Building has 24 hr / 7 day access. 2 large windows facing east, good light all day
rent $924 including electricity – $40 we pay = total rent $884

You have to hand it to Hong Kong, the place knows it’s mission in life. Whereas stained glass would normally have a religious tone to it, this one from the 80’s (we think based on the style of the computer and phone) has a definite hi-tech / future forward ring. Plane (Cathay Pacific) meets computer meets mobile phone meets creepy human eyes trapped in the machine. What is going on! Don’t forget the cross in the center of the screen.
