I have been admiring the blog Miekewillems for a while now. It chronicles the experience of 2 good friends who have opened a store together in Antwerp. I was excited to see the other day that they had visited the store and enjoyed a Surprise ball (and documented it all with beautiful photos!)
Hope we will be able to visit their store someday!

Umm, tonight (Saturday May 17th, 2008) at our store, we are doing our first Mini-Exhibition, this one with the design group Rich, Brilliant, Willing. This should have been posted a couple of days ago, so I guess unless you are in the boroughs we wont be seeing you tonight. The group are showing their first collection of furniture and also a KIOSK-specific product. Come by! We love to see you! This Mini-Exhibition stays open until Tuesday the 20th.

Word on the street is a well-known childrens store on Wooster between Prince and Spring pays $38,000 a month in rent. What in the world is the world coming to? That’s a decent years salary in most other places. New York is mad, Kiosk Omaha next? Damn…ground-floor retail in New York only allows the big out of town corporations, thank god we are on the second floor, to make that kind of rent we would need to sell approximately 13,000 bubble bags a month! Help!

with germany in the store I thought to write down some of our favorite places in berlin
we have the cards in the shop for people to take, and everyone is very curious about what we found there

the apartment is the best place for clothing in berlin that we found, we were really into it
hidden in a basement, they have left the whole main floor empty, it is really beautiful, upside down
