We have some problems in our country and they need to be solved, we can’t sit idle. Any opinions on the article linked below? I largely agree with the piece. At this point I would still vote for Obama, we have to support him in 2012, but while giving support to our government we also need to make demands on what we want. Our political system needs to be reformed but how do we begin the process? For one, a two party system is counterproductive and simply does not work but politicians comfortable in their office are not going to change this. What we have learned from the past is change can happen but it needs to happen from outside the establishment, why in 2008 we felt it could happen from inside any party was foolish, misinformed and flat out lazy. We went out and bought the band-aid rather than making our own.

Is the image above a sunrise or a sunset?. Take the time and let me know your thoughts, the Kiosk community is a great one, we can come together, will you join us?

Developers and developed land, I always wonder who the hell is building such ugly and crappy things here. You can even live in your own “ECO” version now, and there are certified “ECOBrokers” for 8,000 square foot ECO Palaces! So energy efficient too! America is Wacko. To follow is a conversation I had with a “ECOBroker” after I got her solicitation, I guess she does not realize we live in a 250 sq foot ECO palace in the West Village…(removed her infos of course…)

yes, it is great, you can be secluded in your own personal eco delight! with your private beach that no one else can touch or have access to, so giving!
I mean really, is 8,000 sq feet and 7 (polluting and non-eco I assume) fireplaces really too much for the one sad individual or family who will live there, I guess they will have the lights all turned off in the one side of their palace when the use the yoga room at night, chanting OM’s and working hard to balance themselves

I have to say, I don’t mind wealth but I can’t buy this, it’s too ridiculous

Yes, it is a “big “ house, but….it is well insulated with synthetic insulated panels, it has geothermal heating/cooling systems, the electricity comes from the solar photovoltaic panels that are on the roof, the pool does not use chemicals and has solar cover, lots of materials are sustainable….it is luxury going to the right direction. First steps for the Hamptons, no?

Combing through pages and pages of “support USA made products” on the internet in preparation for the next American installment here at KIOSK is at once exhilarating – seeing how many people think and care about this sort of thing – and sad as many of the links lead to “this site no longer exists” or “site not found” on the screen. American companies are obviously suffering, many choosing to close before its too late. On a brighter note, I did find this!

I have always found hummingbirds to be fascinating creatures (their wings flutter at a rate of 50 strokes per second!) This beautiful feeder can help draw them to your garden. The feeder is made in Massachusetts… go America!
