Perhaps you will recall the bird like soprano notes of Yma Sumac from the song ‘Ataypura’ on the Big Lebowski soundtrack. The Peruvian songstress’s un — earthly voice is hard to miss as is the woman herself who, sadly, died two years ago. Killer style makes me want to go to Peru which I imagine to be as colorful and melodious.
