You have to hand it to Hong Kong, the place knows it’s mission in life. Whereas stained glass would normally have a religious tone to it, this one from the 80’s (we think based on the style of the computer and phone) has a definite hi-tech / future forward ring. Plane (Cathay Pacific) meets computer […]

Whoopie, what a nice evening, we actually shamefully ran out of beer 15 minutes before it was over! The sign of a good evening! When we start serving milk tea in the shop for Hong Kong I’ll be sure to make a post. Hong Kong is here!

Neon or simple, signage in Hong Kong is amazing. The color pallets are very inspiring too. To me the pace of the signs reflect the pace of the people and the place. One day I would like to visit some Hong Kong neon workshops and sign painters.

Hong Kong is about walking and talking and doing 100’s of things at the same time. About 50% of the centers of Hong Kong Island and the Kowloon Peninsula (the “city” areas of Hong Kong) are pure madness the other 50% are western style, very upscale shopping malls. Here I am sitting dreaming of certain things we ate in Hong Kong while I pour over dim sum possibilities for tomorrow. I thought one of the best things I could do right now to get the fantasy of eating in Hong Kong out of my system would be to show others some of the […]
